As part of the Southern Constellations curatorial initiative Elsewhere engages artists and citizens in underserved areas of North Carolina through participatory works. This inaugural residency session, in partnership with Reckon Holler Homestead, invites national and local artists to participate in the Madison Music Fest, celebrating the town’s Bicentennial (April 28, 10am – 8pm).

This special project will bring together a handful of creatives over the course of 5-10 days to produce interactive and engaging work for the Madison Music Fest. The residency will serve as an incubator for the collaborative production of critical artwork that explores rural life and supports Elsewhere’s mission to expand experimental art practices across the South.
