Roopa Vasudevan is an interdisciplinary artist, computer programmer, and scholar, currently based in Philadelphia. Her practice explores the archival and artistic interpretation of social media and the Internet, specifically in the context of political and activist practices, and questions whose voices are being left out of dominant technological histories. Her artwork has been exhibited internationally and featured by Reuters, Hyperallergic, PBS NewsHour, Slate, Complex, The FADER, and Public Radio International, among others. She is currently pursuing her PhD at the Annenberg School for Communication at the University of Pennsylvania.
