Courtney is an artist and maker from Visalia, California who received her BFA in drawing and painting at California State University in Long Beach, CA. After graduation she began working at a non-profit art center for adults with developmental disabilities. In her own work, she is fascinated by the infinite shapes and patterns found in cellular imagery, plant matter, insects, fabrics, and celestial objects. Driven by a curiosity of materials and haptic tendencies, she explores her ideas through a variety of formats including fabric, collage, assemblage, colored pencil, digital work and paint. She has an affinity for music, trees, thrifted materials, lists, and anything miniature.
