Elsewhere is a museum that is open to the public. It provides a unique cultural anchor for downtown Greensboro and is a destination for local and global visitors. The museum presents a changing, interactive environment of artworks, objects, and events that inspire new ways to look at and re-purpose recent cultural surplus. An experience at Elsewhere activates contemporary memory and brings new concepts, perspectives, and life practices to visitors.
Learning at Elsewhere is a process of discovery activated through play and art. We work with K-12 schools, community partners, University groups and kids of all ages!
The educational team at Elsewhere is experienced at creating platforms for intergenerational discovery & collaboration, cultivating unique learning communities, providing opportunities for research, promoting creative scholarship, and developing alternative ways to meet K-12 learning standards.
